Undereye Bags

The under-eye area is one of the trickiest places to treat with filler—and still look natural. That’s why Dr. Brigham uses a unique blend of dermal filler and PRF. The PRF not only hydrates the filler to help prevent puffiness but also stimulates collagen and elastin for healthier skin over time. Meanwhile, the filler provides immediate support, softening under-eye bags and grooves for a refreshed look.

Acne Scars

Acne scars are a common concern, often more noticeable with age as collagen and elastin decline. Dr. Brigham takes a comprehensive approach by combining PRF with an HA injectable. First, the fibrous bands that tether acne scars are released via needle. Then, a custom blend of PRF and filler is injected into the deep acne pits, delivering immediate smoothing while stimulating collagen and elastin for long-term skin improvement.

FAQ: Injetable PRF

PRF, or Platelet-Rich Fibrin, is a treatment made from a small sample of your own blood that’s spun down to concentrate platelets, growth factors, and fibrin. It stimulates collagen and improves skin robustness. Unlike PRP, PRF releases growth factors more slowly due to the fibrin matrix, offering better results.
EZ Gel combines heated albumin with cooled PRF to form an injectable gel. We find that PRF blended with HA dermal fillers provides longer-lasting, more consistent results.
PRF and filler treatments provide immediate smoothing and continue to improve over time as the PRF stimulates new collagen and elastin. On average, results last 6–12 months or longer.
Under-eye treatments typically need maintenance every 12–18 months as results build over time. For acne scarring, a series of sessions, often combined with microneedling, can further break up scar tissue and boost collagen for optimal results.

Before & After Care

Avoid aspirin, NSAIDs, and St. John’s Wort for one week before treatment, as they may increase bruising. If you’re preparing for a special event, schedule your treatment at least three weeks in advance to allow time for results to settle. Be sure to arrive well-hydrated for your blood draw.
After treatment, mild undereye puffiness may be present and is mainly the PRF component that will be absorbed over the next few days. Bruising may happen but is usually minimal.
After your PRF and filler acne treatment, the treated areas may be slightly red and mildly swollen. There should be little to no bruising.
It’s rare for patients to be unhappy with their results. On occasion, a small area may feel slightly raised, which can be easily adjusted using Hylenex, since hyaluronic acid fillers are reversible if needed.
