Our Story
Inspired by this, Aimee and her husband, Dr. Nathaniel Brigham, MD, set out to build a practice rooted in transparency, expertise, and empathy. Over 8 years ago, they launched Aluma Aesthetic Medicine in Portland, OR, as a welcoming space where every treatment is tailored to the individual, and every client leaves feeling refreshed and confident. Their mission is to combine exceptional care in a nurturing environment to ensure long-term satisfaction.

Dr. Brigham is a board-certified internal medicine physician. In 2005, he graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine, then interned at the Naval Hospital Bremerton and served as a U.S. Navy flight surgeon. In 2009, he moved to Portland and completed an internal medicine residency at Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Brigham has worked as a hospitalist since.
In 2017, he began specializing in aesthetic medicine in Portland and opened his private practice the following year. Since then, he has found fulfillment in the artistic and procedural aspects of aesthetic medicine and the refinement of those skills to achieve optimal results. With over a decade of experience as a physician and years practicing aesthetic medicine, Dr. Brigham brings valuable skills and a commitment to patient care that improves every touchpoint of the Aluma journey.

Aimee is a natural caregiver, and patients can expect that personal touch from her. Aimee understands wanting to feel good about your reflection in the mirror. As a young adult, she had cystic acne and witnessed firsthand an uptick in confidence and happiness from the results of aesthetic medicine.
With a master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Louisiana State University, Aimee has worked in the Northwest as a pediatric speech and language pathologist since 2005. Along with her background as an SLP, Aimee brings experience in assessment, intervention, and sustained support, which she incorporates into Aluma’s patient care model.

Mikayla graduated from Linfield University with a BS in Nursing and has worked in the field for five years, honing her clinical skills along the way. She has completed extensive one-on-one training with Dr. Brigham in facial anatomy and injection techniques to achieve natural results. Mikayla’s calm demeanor and attention to detail make her an excellent injector. She loves helping Aluma patients look and feel their best. When not busy with her rowdy and active dogs, you can find the native Oregonian paddle boarding or being the fun auntie to all the little ones in her life.

Michelle Zawadzki earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington and then worked at Intel as a process engineer. Her critical thinking, organization, writing skills, and taste are true assets to our team. When working at the front desk, Michelle’s positivity and gracious demeanor are the first things clients experience when they walk in the door. As a busy wife and mother of two, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing hobbies like tennis and Brazilian jiu jitsu.
