Microneedling
Microneedling for Collagen Boost & Skin Repair
Microneedling rejuvenates your skin by boosting your body's natural collagen and elastin production. It improves texture, reduces acne scars, fine lines, and pigmentation.
At Aluma Aesthetic Medicine, we use the SkinPen® device to create millions of microchannels, triggering skin renewal, leaving your skin smoother, brighter, and more youthful.

Why We Use SkinPen
Max Collagen Induction
SkinPen is an FDA-cleared, medical-grade device with proven results for increasing collagen and reducing fine lines, acne, and acne scarring.
Precise Depth Placement
SkinPen allows us to customize treatment depth based on your specific complexion concern.
Better Results
SkinPen creates over 1,600 microchannels per second. Its vertical, controlled stamping means no dragging or tearing, leading to better results and smoother healing.

Our Microneedling Process
1
Treatment Area Prepped
Your treatment begins with a thorough double cleanse, followed by a warm steam towel to prepare your skin.
2
Topical Numbing for Comfort
A prescription-grade lidocaine cream is applied, so you’ll feel little to no discomfort during treatment.
3
Precision Microneedling Treatment
Our certified advanced esthetician performs 1–3 passes per area, using precise depths tailored to your specific skin concerns.

Amp Your Microneedling Results
PRF Microneedling
At Aluma, we offer Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF), an advanced version of PRP (aka the “Vampire Facial”). Using a slower spin process, PRF retains more fibrin from your blood, helping growth factors remain active longer to boost collagen and elastin production and support enhanced skin repair. When combined with microneedling, PRF is known to enhance your results.

Microneedling FAQs
What does microneedling do?
Microneedling creates tiny, controlled micro-injuries in the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production, improving skin texture, tone, and the appearance of acne scars and fine lines.
How long is the downtime with microneedling?
Downtime is minimal. You may have redness for 1–2 days, followed by light flaking as your skin renews.
How many microneedling treatments will I need?
For best results, 2-3 treatments spaced about 4–6 weeks apart are typically recommended.
When will I see microneedling results?
You may notice a glow within a week, but collagen production builds over time; full results develop gradually over several weeks.
